Leaning Into Termination: New Ideas in Modern Group Analysis

Termination is often thought of as the ending of therapy. In this article, I explore a contemporary analytic perspective in which termination becomes an opportunity for deeper emotional engagement, greater integration, and continued psychological growth. Drawing on clinical experience and modern group analytic theory, I suggest that endings can become among the most meaningful moments in the life of a therapy group.
